Banned on Facebook... Again
This isn’t the first time, but the reasoning for it is the most absurd that I’ve personally encountered.
This is the post I’ve been suspended for:
Facebook rejected my appeal in just five minutes, indicating that an algorithm made the decision. If there was a manual review by an actual human, then Mark Zuckerberg must be hiring quite a band of nitwits.
I normally don’t bother to escalate to the “Oversight Board” because they take weeks to decide, if they ever bother to review it at all, and by the time they do the suspension has already been lifted. Plus its run by an international review board of 20 people, all of which were selected by Facebook executives and are funded by Facebook, yet laughably have been designated as an independent body.
But this struck me as so particularly egregious and downright stupid that I felt it was worth taking the time to escalate.
This is my official statement:
In closing, here is my final message to Mark Zuckerberg and all the other hypocritical, inconsistent, non-sensical, irresponsible arbiters of social media censorship:
They don’t look at your explanation . Waste of time. The one time I overturned a strike was because the jailed me for using laughing poop emoji.
