This is creating a generational trauma among those least susceptible. Depression, weight gain, low self-esteem, drop-outs, even suicides... the list goes on. There has never been a moment in history that has punished the youth during any sort of crisis, as is being done right now. As for masks and social distancing, again, have you considered the social embodiment costs of this extremely anti-social practice? Adults have other experience to draw on, and can expect to move through it. For anyone in their twenties and below, I can't imagine how this will affect their lives going forward.
